What is intermodal transportation?
It is the transfer of products involving multiple modes of transportation, including truck, rail and ocean. In the case of Radius Rail, most intermodal shipments are a combination of truck-rail-truck service.
Intermodal transportation is the largest growing segment of the U.S. transportation market. This is due in part to capacity constraints that the trucking industry experienced in the last decade.
